also, i've been 20 for five days now and i still don't like it. and last night i watched "the dark knight" and was blown away by heath ledger's performance.

since was feeling particularly annoyed with someone at six in the morning, i decided to take my irritation out on my hair with a pair of scissors NOT meant for cutting hair. so say hello to uneven and curly bangs that always look different and are extremely hard to control!

the other night, i went to 6underground with fatih to watch paraluman perform, along with other bands such as updharma down, greyhoundz and typecast.

the paraluman boys are awesome, and so is fatih, because she stayed up with me until sunrise in mcd's, swapping stories and reminiscing about road trips and whatnot.

and if you're living in philippines...vote for paraluman's debut music video "emily" on myx by texting MYX VOTE EMILY to 2366. and if you're in metro manila, there's a benefit show on may 31 that you should go to; venue is 58 pansol street, barangay pansol, katipunan, quezon city. paraluman and heaps of other bands will be playing, the entrance fee is 150 (inclusive of one free drink) and it starts at 6pm. it'll be fun. :D

i do love going to the beach. i just wish they weren't so far though! i totally regret all the times that i lived a mere 15 minutes away from a beach, when i was still in hk, and never bothered to go a lot. most of the times that i found myself on the beach near me was whenever i fell asleep on the way home and ended up there, because the bus route ends there as well. anyways! when i become all rich and all that jazz, i will definitely get myself a comfy beach house. and stay there every summer. hurrah! a girl can dream. :P

Oh, and by the way, I don't work for Starbucks anymore. Yup. I quit. But I miss making drinks, and I miss the people I worked with. Even though...I don't think I will ever go back to being a barista. I guess I couldn't take the physical stress that comes along with the 10-hour shifts, and the emotional stress that comes from dealing with some truly rude, ungrateful morons. Well anyways! As they say, when one door closes, another opens. Right? Right!

OH! But I was certified a Coffee Master right before I left the company, so hurrah! Here's me on my second to last day at work:

life's been kinda rough, but i'm tough stuff. oh yeah. i'm going to hong kong tomorrow. am stoked! just have to get through today in one piece. lacking sleep, eyes that hurt from said lack of sleep, closing shift, and need to get my APE done plus work module and then see fab friends before jetting off.

01 (late) merry christmas! mine went fine, ate so much food and could hardly move or breathe afterwards, have gained a lot hah! but you know..it's scientifically impossible to diet during christmas.
02 busy busy busy at work. got the opening shift on xmas day, escaped the insane evening rush apparently. ho hum.
03 newfound love for "little britain". the computer says naaawwww.
04 i love it when friends visit me at work. :)

1. worked 14 hours today. whew.
2. i'm sick of people ordering cappuccinos and then coming back to ask me why it's so light, or if i'm sure that it's supposed to be that light. it's a frickin' cappuccino. it's supposed to be half foam. if you don't know what you're ordering, then don't order it.
3. wanted to disembowel some stupid fat lady earlier for giving me attitude, and her stupid friend with the high-pitched voice.
4. enough with the bitchy barista mode.
5. listening to collective soul makes me happy.
6. attempted to watch a clockwork orange again, managed to get through the entire movie, and am now kind of in love with it.
7. boys make me sad-ish. why must they be so hard to figure out? ancient greek would probably make more sense to me than they do.

i tried to watch "a clockwork orange" earlier. i say 'tried' because i couldn't even get through the first half. the scenes were starting to make me feel ill and eventually i had to turn the telly off. what is wrong with meeeeeee? there's only one other movie that i absolutely could not finish and that was "one hour photo". the scene where blood gushes out of his eyes just freaked me out too much.

but since i've been meaning to watch "a clockwork orange" for ages, and i'm intrigued by it after all the stuff i've read about it (and plus i am just a stubborn brat that likes to push my own limits), i'm going to watch it again and actually finish it. no matter how disturbed i get.

At work, during my dinner break. Hah.

1. I am such a moron when I like a guy.
2. Lots of people at work, 123128312312 drinks made, at one point I felt like I was going to lose my mind. Sorta. But I like rush periods.
3. I was going to study Latin/American coffees today, but hah! Fat chance! I barely had enough energy during my breaks to read my text messages.
4. A customer got my number (somehow) and called me when I got home. I was a bit surprised, especially since I saw him at the store before I left, but he seems like a nice person.
5. I want to cut and dye my hair again.
6. Jebus, I need to sleep. And sleeeeeeeep.
